My painting called “Grief” is finished. It is a painting within a painting. My friend died of breast cancer. She is resting in the bosom of death. The man on the floor represent all her friends and family. Death reaches outside of the painting and places a comforting hand on his head as we mourn. Symbolic of the phase “oh death where is thou sting, oh grave where is this victory”. Dedicated to all who have lost someone to cancer.

On February 5, 2025 the city of Orlando opened is Black History Month art exhibit. The theme was African-Americans and labor. My painting, Laundry Day, was part of the exhibit. I was humbled by the attendees reaction to the painting. It was loved and well received. You can obtain a copy at artbyvwilson.com
