Back home and feeling ready. Sometimes you do not realize how empty your tank was until you actually fill it back up. A few days in the Keys did exactly that. I came home to my people, my work, and everything I love and I am genuinely excited about what this week holds. Whatever you did or did not do this weekend, I hope you are walking into this week feeling at least a little bit of that. You deserve it. xoxo Christina

There is something so peaceful about a silvery sage color and I do not think it gets nearly enough credit.

It is warm but cool at the same time. It soothes your mind the second you walk into a room painted in it. It feels earthy but still sophisticated. It works with literally any design style which almost no color can actually claim. It is a true chameleon and it is one of my absolute favorites to specify.

Here are the five I reach for most.

Oyster Bay by Sherwin Williams. Soft and livable. More green than silver but still in the family. The most approachable of the five and a great starting point if you are nervous about committing to something with more depth.

Silvermist by Sherwin Williams. Exactly what the name says. Soft silver with just a whisper of green. Light and airy and works beautifully in rooms that get a lot of natural light.

Dix Blue by Farrow and Ball. More blue than green but that silvery quality is undeniable. Works beautifully in low light and gives a room a quiet drama that is hard to achieve with anything else.

Silver Sage by Benjamin Moore. Named for exactly this moment. True silvery sage right in the middle of both. This one never fails.

Mizzle by Farrow and Ball. The chameleon of the chameleons. Silver in morning light, green by afternoon. Never the same twice and I love it for exactly that reason.

I waited years to use these spheres in just the right place. I am so glad I did.

This hallway needed some personality and I knew immediately just the right thing for it, because I had already sourced it, about 3 years prior.

A couple years ago I wouldn’t have had the confidence or felt comfortable to film these videos by myself in front of people.

Now IDGAF.

Turns out perimenopause accidentally cured my people pleasing and nobody warned me that was one of the benefits. I would have started looking forward to it a lot sooner. The older I get the less I care what anyone thinks and honestly it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Standing in the middle of the beach filming content like it’s totally normal. Because at this point it kind of is.

Nobody tells you that buried somewhere in chaos of midlife is this absolute freedom of just not caring anymore. About the opinions. About the judgment. About what strangers think when they walk past you talking to your phone.

Almost 50 and finally free.

What’s the best unexpected side effect of getting older you’ve experienced? Drop it below because I need to know I’m not alone in this. ✨
