When I began crocheting almost 38 years ago I never knew how much I would enjoy it, let alone that I would open a business featuring all the products I have learned to make through design using basic patterns as inspiration. Crocheting has been a big part of my life. I have used it to de-stress, release creative energy and calm nervousness and anxiety. Crochet is my meditation and the repeating motion of the hook is my mantra.
Through my years of experience and practice, I have learned how to make my pieces well. Each product I offer is not only made with creative flair, but is also made with quality supplies, many of which I have recycled or picked up from thrift stores, and garage sales. I do use new items as well, but try and limit that as much as possible. My designs are themed through either color, or the jewels and beading that some of my work has, so no 2 items are alike, ever. Most of all; All of it is made to last and last and last. I also know how to repair it if any of it fails to stand the test of time, however that would be a rare request.
Keeping in mind how much time and out of pocket purchases for beads, yarn, hooks, scissors, and all the other things it takes to make each creation, I also did a lot of research into pricing. I don’t want people to feel they cannot afford what I make, but I also don’t want to sell myself or my talents short. I visited various websites that host artisans who sell many crocheted items, of which I make some variation and to think that some charge $40 for a scarf or $30 for a hat...I know that the folks I am selling my ware to may not be able to pay that, let alone want to. I can assure you, my potential customers, that I am not going to charge any more than I have to so that you can buy that unique product that has been handmade with creative passion and love.
