Which detail would you steal for your own kitchen — the cabinets or the floor?

This 60’s style galley kitchen got a complete refresh with rich dark blue cabinetry, bold patterned flooring, improved flow, and a fresh modern feel that still feels warm and inviting.

Sometimes a kitchen doesn’t need a full addition to feel completely transformed — the right layout ideas, finishes, and details can make all the difference.

This design was all about:
• Creating a brighter, more functional space
• Adding character with bold flooring
• Bringing in timeless color and finishes
• Making the narrow galley layout feel more open and intentional

✨ Entryway first impressions… which one feels like you?

Your entry sets the tone for your entire home—so the materials you choose really matter. I put together three different looks, each with its own vibe:

• Stone + Wood → warm, layered, and full of texture
• Wood Only → clean, classic, and timeless
• Stone Only → bold, grounded, and a little more dramatic

Each one creates a completely different feeling the moment you walk through the door.

So now I’m curious—
👉 Which one would YOU choose for your own entryway?

Drop your vote in the comments:
1, 2, or 3?

If you’re dreaming up your own entry refresh and not sure which direction to go, I’m always happy to help you visualize it before making any big decisions.

From familiar… to unforgettable.

This space started with something we’ve all seen before—a standard dresser and mirror setup that simply exists in the room.

But what if your bedroom could do more than just exist?

We reimagined this space into a layered, moody retreat—featuring a dramatic slate blue panel wall, warm wood slats, floating shelves, and a custom half-mirror detail that adds just the right amount of depth and reflection.

Board and batten behind the bed grounds the space, while full-length drapery softens it all with a quiet sense of luxury.

Finished with cozy seating that invites you to actually stay awhile.

This is what happens when every detail is intentional.

Alright… the votes are in

And the winner is Kitchen #6 🎉

No surprise here — that contemporary design definitely made a statement.

Double islands that create generous prep space and room to gather.
A sleek, modern butler’s pantry tucked seamlessly behind the scenes.
Horizontal wood grain cabinetry that draws your eye across the space and gives it that clean, architectural feel (such a difference from traditional vertical grain).

And we can’t forget the lighting.

Those elongated cylinder pendants add a sculptural element above the island — minimal, refined, and perfectly scaled. They don’t compete with the design… they elevate it. Simple lines, strong presence, and just the right amount of drama.

It’s bold. Modern. Functional.
And clearly… a favorite.

I love seeing what details people connect with most — layout, cabinetry direction, lighting, hidden storage. The little decisions are what make a space feel next level.

Now stay tuned 👀
The runner-up kitchen is coming next… and it was a close one.

Make sure you like and follow so you don’t miss it.

Okay… I need your help on this one 👀

I’m sharing 6 different kitchen designs — each with its own style, layout, and personality — and I want to know:

Which one would you choose for your home?

Is it the bright and airy one?
The bold and dramatic one?
The warm and cozy layout?
The one with the oversized island?
The clean and modern look?
Or the timeless classic design?

Every kitchen was thoughtfully designed in 3D first — so layout, flow, storage, and proportions were all planned before anything would ever be built. Different homes. Different needs. Different vibes.

(You can only pick ONE… I know, it’s hard.)

I can’t wait to see which one wins. 😄

This home might be one of my favorites I’ve designed lately. The home owner knew exactly the style she wanted...modern and very contemporary. She had great inspiration pic's for me to work off of.

The home addition has tall ceilings, a full wall of windows, and that stone fireplace that totally anchors the space — it feels modern but still warm and comfortable. Not overly formal. Not cold. Just really livable.

Everything was mapped out in 3D first — furniture layout, lighting placement, proportions — so the space feels balanced and intentional before anything is ever built.

All of the rooms- kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom all carry this same clean, contemporary vibe.

Now I’m curious — which space would you be most excited about in your own home? Great room, kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom?

How to make a living room into a kitchen...
The home owners were adding on a whole new family room and wanted to transform the current living room into their kitchen.
This former living room in the Marshall area is now a fully designed kitchen and dining space — created through thoughtful layout planning and 3D visualization.
Here's what we did:
• Reassigned the square footage
• Designed a functional kitchen footprint
• Added a dedicated dining area
• Improved flow and everyday usability
For many rural Southwest Minnesota homes, the issue is how to make everything function at it's best. With detailed 3D renderings, you can confidently see how a dramatic transformation like this will function before any walls are moved.
If you’re near Marshall or Montevideo areas and wondering how you might reconfigure a space, I’d be happy to walk through the possibilities with you.
