Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Siobhan (Shavon), aka Joan of the Art. ❤️

I started making signs during COVID as a temporary way to make some extra money while I was out of work. What started as “extra cash” turned into something I never could have imagined a business doing something I truly love.

Over the last few months, I’ve put crafting on DND, and I know I’ve made a few promises about coming back. I know I don’t owe anyone an explanation, but I’ve built this platform from the ground up, and I truly adore so many of you. ❤️

As many of you know, I unexpectedly lost my Mom to a heart attack/heart arrhythmia almost a year ago in October. My Mom was my best friend, and losing her has been something I’ve struggled with in ways I never expected. My anxiety and depression became something completely new to me, and honestly, I needed to put a lot of things including Joan of the Art on the back burner.

I’m not fully healed, but I did give myself the time I needed to focus on me and my mental health.

This time, I promise I’m really coming back. 🥹❤️

Within the next week or two, I’m going to start small and see where you guys are at. Not because I need to, but because I want to.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been patient, understanding, and supportive. It means more than you know.

And if I ever need another break, I’ll continue to keep you guys in the loop like always.
