Wondering how to add vintage decor to your home? I have five strategies...

1. Collect and display what YOU love! Your home should reflect who you are, where you've been and what inspires you. Tell your story!
2. Add multiples and in odd numbers. I tend to display items in 3s or 5s. For example, ironstone pitchers look great together and in multiple sizes. Display pewter trays on a wall in various sizes.
3. Play with size. Combine larger items with smaller items to give depth and create optical illusions. Add an oversized light fixture over a dining table to make a bold statement.
4. Add texture. Mix textures with one another to give the eye a story like woven pillows on a leather sofa.
5. Think unconventional. Use items in unconventional ways like a smaller chippy white bookshelf in a powder room. You can display items you collect to tell a story and it's functional storage... store hand towels, toilet paper and reading materials for your guests.

These are just some ideas to add vintage decor to your home, but there are many strategies and ideas. Again, my biggest rule... collect and display what you love! It's your story!
