Nearly 500 stems of snapdragons were harvested this week for Sarah Larkin Design and other florists in our community.

50 bunches that did not have to be shipped from across the world!

Other flowers that are trickling into our homes and flower shops:

Sunflowers
Amaranthus

Can I be a little sappy for a minute?

As I was harvesting these incredible snapdragons, I realized how happy it makes me that flowers I’ve lovingly grown will go out to florists and homes in Yolo, Solano and Sacramento counties.

I wanted to learn to grow flowers for my business Sarah Larkin Design and to lessen my carbon footprint, but to have the opportunity to have an even greater impact on the health and happiness of my community has me in my feels today!

The deep desire to serve well has invited beautiful things into my life 🌸

This is what feeling rich is like. I’m convinced of it.

Except my record keeping is not super stellar so I’m not exactly sure what this is. I think it’s an anemone but Google is trying to tell me it’s a poppy! I don’t think I planted poppies 🤷‍♀️

What’s your vote? Ranunculas, anemone or poppy?
