Cheval Artistic Restoration Hi, I'm Denise, Owner/Artist. I caught the bug for painting furniture about 25 years ago, before chalk paint 🎨 was a thing here.

My focus is the enhancement of vintage & antique furniture, with a bit of Spicy and a chance of who knows where, driven by a commitment to creativity, the unknown and the occasional farm animal antics! 😀 Painting furniture was was such an addiction, I had to stop myself from Painting everything in my home🙃. I soon discovered Annie Sloan chalk paint and the real addiction began :). Fast forward a

few years and a renovation of our home we lived in for 30 years, that provided me with a separate salon for my Nail business. With the new added space i found myself a 2nd time collecting antiques and painting them for my new salon. With the kids grown the bug has bitten me again. As the saying goes a 3rd time is a charm. 😁
In this chapter We have built our dream home 🏡 and with this economy I've decided to try my hand at actually selling my painted works as a little side hustle. My goal is to try and make some extra money while doing something I love. I love antique and vintage furniture, it was built to last and the workmanship is truly beautiful. I just love the history behind these pieces of furniture and hope to bring new life to them.

Still working on putting some finishing touches on this beautiful Bombay chest I'm working on. The decoupage paper is from Lamora's Furniture Designs . I absolutely love go leaping and gold gilding I just can't get away from putting it almost on every piece I work on. On this Bombay piece I did go leafing on the race stenciling and then some patchy gold leafing some of the Embellishments and then enhance this with some gold gilding on the edges I felt this was great and with the gold Hardware on the front I think it pulls this piece all together. I will have finished photos very soon!

I had THE most fun creating this makeover for my Mannequin. I used Molds with airdry clay, SaltWash additive for texture in the paint i used on the base, pearls, plaster flowers and the Maine attraction the gorgeous decoupage paper I used from Lamora's Furniture Designs Velvet and Lace and Harlequin Verdure.
