Introducing Neely Grey Design. An elevated interior design studio with specialties in full custom interior design, renovation selections, color consultations, and 3D renderings among other offerings.
Learn a little more about our principal designer below:
Emilie, with Neely Grey Design, found her passion for design after completing a degree in Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management at Virginia Tech which led to managing visual merchandising for Ballard Designs’ Tysons Corner store after graduation. She continued to work in retail and became a design manager at Pottery Barn before deciding to leave the Northern Virginia area to move closer to family in Georgia. When Covid hit, she made the leap into design full-time, thanks to a mentor who helped kickstart her career.
Her personal style mixes traditional elegance, European chateau charm, and Mid-Century modern, with a fearless approach to blending styles tastefully and helping clients do the same. Emilie’s “people first” mindset means she always puts functionality and accessibility front and center, keeping layout, flow, and color theory in mind. She loves pushing clients a little outside their comfort zone and watching them fall in love with their homes all over again.
Tech-savvy and detail-focused, Emilie does all her 3D renderings herself, giving clients clear previews that bring designs to life and build confidence. Her clients say working with her feels friendly, thorough, and even a bit therapeutic, creating those “a-ha” moments that keep them coming back.
When she’s not designing, Emilie enjoys hanging out with her family, refinishing thrifted furniture, listening to music (major Swiftie), and binging True Crime documentaries/podcasts.
