We are humbled, and honored to announce that Cherokee County will be recognizing, Tuesday April 1st, as David Donley Day. It is a huge honor that has been bestowed upon us to recognize the amazing legacy that Dave left behind. We are still adjusting to an earthly life without Dave in it. We know the impact that he had on us as individuals, but since his passing we have been OVERWHELMED to learn just how big an impact he had on his customers and community over the last 30 years. We want to thank each and every one of you that have shared those stories with us. It is comforting, inspirational, and therapeutic to hear those stories. The scope of what David Donley meant to his community is hard for us to digest. For Cherokee County to present us with this honor, we can never express how grateful we are. So, this Tuesday April 1st, instead of pulling an April Fools prank, we would like to ask everyone that has a Donley’s Music shirt to wear it to celebrate David Donley Day! More importantly, we ask that we all do something kind for someone in your community. For a friend, neighbor, or perfect stranger. That spirit of giving and love for the people that surrounded him is what made David Donley a special man, and there is no better way to honor and celebrate his legacy. For all of those that have been asking, we do have most sizes of Donley’s Music T-shirts available at the shop, in limited quantities. We love you all so much. Thank you for the continued support and love.

Hey everyone. Since it’s been a little while, I wanted to re-introduce myself. My name is Jackie Donley. I opened the cutest Home Decor and Accessory store called The Neighborhood Nest in 2018 and had a great run. I ended up closing the store in November of 2023. Since then I’ve had some tragedy in my family. My wonderful husband of 36 years and father to my beautiful daughters passed suddenly in August of 2024. It’s been a huge adjustment but we are all moving forward as he would have wanted us to. Now I’m back in the Corporate world but still love decorating and Home Decor.

I will be posting some ideas that I have, some decorating that I’ve done and pretty much all things that inspire me.
