🍎 September doesn't mean the harvest is over. It means the kitchen gets interesting.

The tomatoes may be slowing down, but apples are coming in. Pears are ripening. Grapes are ready. Jars are filling. And there's still plenty coming out of the garden.

For those of us who cook from scratch, September isn't just the beginning of fall.

It's the month we start turning what we grew into what we'll enjoy later.

So this month, we're following the harvest—sharing seasonal recipes, preserving ideas, real kitchens, creator favorites, and new ways to put your Hungry Artisan tools to work.

🍅 You know a kitchen tool is worth keeping when it comes back out every harvest season.

When the tomatoes start piling up, puts her Hungry Artisan Food Mill right back to work.

Not because homemade sauce needs to be complicated, but because when you're processing a garden harvest, the tools you reach for again and again are the ones that make the work feel manageable.

Built for from-scratch cooks, gardeners, canners, and anyone who knows the satisfaction of turning a summer harvest into something homemade. 🌿

🌿 Recipe of the Week: Creamy Southern Field Pea Hummus

Who says a Food Mill is just for tomatoes?

We're closing out August with a different way to use one of summer's Southern staples, fresh field peas.

Cook black-eyed peas until tender, then pass them through the fine disc of your Hungry Artisan Food Mill. Mix with roasted garlic, tahini, lemon, olive oil and a touch of cumin for a creamy homemade spread.

Finish with fresh herbs and smoked paprika, then serve with garden vegetables, crackers, or toasted bread.

Simple ingredients. A completely different use for your Food Mill. 💚

Have you ever made a spread with black-eyed peas?

🥔 A kitchen tool isn’t truly convenient if cleanup becomes another chore.

Sarah is putting the Hungry Artisan Food Mill to work again—this time for smooth, homemade mashed potatoes. And when the cooking is done? The Food Mill comes apart for easy cleanup, with stainless steel parts that are dishwasher safe.

From busy tomato season 🍅 to everyday comfort foods like mashed potatoes, it’s a tool made to be used again and again, not left sitting in the cabinet.

🍅 From fresh tomatoes to homemade spaghetti sauce.

We love seeing customers put their Hungry Artisan Food Mill to work during harvest season! This customer started with the coarse disc, followed with the medium disc to help remove seeds, and loved how quick and effortless the process was.

And these photos say it all, from fresh garden ingredients to a beautiful batch of homemade sauce. ❤️

The recipe isn't the only thing that determines your final texture; the milling disc matters too.

Our Hungry Artisan Premium Food Mill includes four interchangeable discs, including an Ultra-Fine disc, giving you more control over what's coming out of the kitchen.

From silky purées to heartier sauces, choose the disc that fits what you're making instead of settling for one texture.

🌿 What would you use the Ultra-Fine disc for first?

🥣 Does the Food Mill disc you choose really make a difference?

Instead of guessing, put the different milling discs to the test and compared the results side by side.

Different disc sizes can give you different textures depending on what you're making. That's why choosing the right disc matters when you're working with sauces, purées, fruits, vegetables, and more.

One of our favorite things about seeing Hungry Artisan tools in real kitchens is that our creators don't just show the product; they experiment with it.

Recipe of the Week: Summer Squash & Parmesan Soup🥒

When the garden gives you more zucchini than you know what to do with, make soup.

This simple late-summer recipe turns zucchini or yellow squash into a creamy, savory soup with Parmesan, garlic, thyme, and fresh basil.

Instead of reaching for the blender, pass the softened vegetables through your Hungry Artisan Food Mill for a smooth texture while keeping this recipe simple and hands-on.

Serve with crusty bread, and you've got an easy way to put that overflowing summer harvest to good use. 🌿

Who else has more zucchini than they can keep up with right now?😄
