A narrow kitchen can feel twice as good without becoming twice as big. This Houzz makeover is such a good reminder that small spaces need smarter planning, not just prettier finishes. The big wins were better sightlines, full-height cabinetry, lighter surfaces, and storage that actually worked for a young family.
Here’s what I’ve learned: when a kitchen feels cramped, look up, look across, and look at what is blocking the flow. Ceiling-height cabinets, brighter finishes, and cleaner views can completely change how the room feels during breakfast, dinner prep, and everyday family life.
Save this if your kitchen feels dark, tight, or harder to use than it should.
