Two hundred and fifty years ago, a group of people took a bold step and declared that freedom was worth fighting for, sacrificing for, and protecting for generations to come.
America has never been perfect, but it has always been worth believing in. Worth working for. Worth improving. Worth defending. The promise of this country is not just something written in history books, it is something we are called to carry forward in how we live, how we treat one another, how we raise our families, and how we serve our communities.
As we celebrate 250 years of independence, I am thankful for the men and women who made this nation possible, for those who have defended it, and for the blessings we still enjoy because of their courage.
May we never take freedom for granted. May we honor the past by building a better future. And may God continue to bless the United States of America.
