💕 One of the greatest things about owning a small business? The people we meet along the way. 💕

When we started A Creative Wash, we never imagined just how many incredible people this little business would bring into our lives. And we certainly never imagined that we’d have the opportunity to be part of some of their biggest, most special moments. 🥹

We met Casey at our VERY FIRST market in Yorkville — way back in our Cricut-weeding, heat-transfer-vinyl (HTV) days! 😂 Oh, how far we’ve come!

Over the last several years, we’ve had the privilege of making shirts for Casey for all sorts of occasions. Somewhere along the way, she went from being a customer to someone who feels like family. ❤️

And now? We got to make shirts for her WEDDING! 💍🤍

There’s something so special about watching our customers move through different chapters of their lives and getting to play even the tiniest part in their celebrations. From everyday moments to once-in-a-lifetime milestones, it means more to us than we can put into words.

Casey, thank you for supporting us since the very beginning, for growing with us, and for continuing to trust us with your special moments. We are so grateful for you, and we wish you a lifetime of happiness! 🥂

This is what small business is all about. It’s so much more than shirts, orders, and transactions. It’s the relationships, the friendships, and the people who become part of our story while letting us be part of theirs.

One of our favorite parts of ACW is getting to work with other local small businesses — especially when they’re doing something as fun as Court Kittens! 💕

Volleyball designed by women, for women. 🏐✨

We’re exhausted. Our garage is filled to the brim. We’re running on very little sleep. And somehow, more than anything, we are just overwhelmed with gratitude. 🧡

Five days. Five days spent together as a family, doing something we genuinely love. And wow… you guys showed up!

We caught up with so many familiar faces and returning customers. We met SO many new customers who took a chance on our little business. We pressed shirts, talked designs, laughed, caught up, and got to spend five days doing exactly what we love to do.

And we have to give the biggest shout-out to the littlest member of the ACW crew — Jamie. 🥹 Our little guy was an absolute trooper through five long fair days. He officially survived his very first Sandwich Fair, and we couldn’t have asked for a better little sidekick. 🧡

We also truly could not have done this week without our family and friends. The people who came to shop. The people who showed up with food, endless lemonade shake-ups and iced coffees. The people who took Jamie around the fair so he could experience a place filled with so much magic. The people who jumped in and helped us with sales or seemingly endlessly folding when we needed an extra set of hands. The people who checked on us, encouraged us, shared our posts, stopped by just to say hi, and supported us in a million little ways.

Thank you. Truly.

This small business life is a LOT of work. There are so many hours behind the scenes that no one ever sees. The designing, ordering, packing, loading, unloading, setting up, tearing down, late nights, early mornings…and everything in between.

But then we have weeks like this.

We get to stand back and realize that this little business we built allows us to spend our days together. It lets us create things people are excited to wear. It introduces us to people we never would have met otherwise. And now, we get to bring our little boy along for the ride.

That makes every single exhausting minute worth it.

We leave every event tired, but incredibly thankful for the opportunity to do this — together, as a family. 🧡

Sandwich Fair 2026, you were so, so good to us.

There are some projects that mean just a little bit more. 💙💛

For one of ACW’s owners, Jacey, Milton Pope Grade School is one of those places.

Jacey attended Milton Pope from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and so many of the memories and life lessons from those years have stayed with her. She can still remember how exciting it was to get new MPS Spiritwear as a student — and, believe it or not, she still has some of those original pieces today!

So when ACW was asked to help create apparel featuring Milton Pope’s new mission statement…

Honoring Tradition. Inspiring Excellence.

…it truly felt like a full-circle, dream-come-true moment. 💙

Seeing Milton Pope’s teachers and staff wearing these designs makes it even more special. There’s something pretty incredible about getting to create for a place that played such a big part in who you became.

There’s nothing better than helping a local business look as professional as the work they do! 👏
