Thornscrub Sanctuary, a 501c3 nonprofit entity, is looking for individuals and organizations looking to research things such as :

The microbiome of pe**te cactus roots : DNA-sequencing of mycorrhizal fungi and symbiotic bacteria

The Ecology of South Texas Thornscrub : Interactions between small mammals and reptiles and rare cacti species, focusing on predation

Seed germination of Cactus Species : Mammilaria sphaerica, Echinocereus poselgeri, Escobaria emskoetteriana, Lophophora williamsii, Echinocereus enneacanthus

Nurse Plants as a required establishment for cactus seedlings : The Role of Vachellia rigidula and Senegalia berlandieri in the establishment and protection from herbivores of rare cacti.

Lichen and Soil Crust Diversity in the Thornscrub of South Texas : mutualistic relationships between plants and the “living skin” of South Texas soils.
