Agentic shopping is a new way to shop through Chatgpt or whatever AI platform you are using. It's been being pushed to us Retailers as a great way to reach customers who are shopping through Chat. I think it's going to be a real problem for small businesses, giving customers unrealistic expectations and experience. Also, it's not really helping grow our true customer base. Customers via Chat don't scroll through our site and shop our curated assortment, possibly discovering more thay we have to offer. They are never even visiting our site, and only purchasing that one item they were recommended via Chat. We love our tried and true loyal customers, we have a really great repeat customer base who know us and our products. My thought is customers who purchase from us via Chat are a one time customer, I feel like they don't even know who or what business they are purchasing from, further distancing themselves from real human-owned small businesses. We are just getting further separated from the human connection.
