Being Empowered After Trauma
Combining mindfulness and Aikido principles, this innovative somatic program helps survivors of trauma rewire old responses to lead fuller, more peaceful lives.

Class will include a group walk to C&S Coffee Shop for lunch together (separate checks).

Instructor: Janice Taitel, MD, a pediatrician and 5th degree blackbelt in Aikido, the "Way of Harmony," is a board member at Morongo Basin Unity Home as well as past president of the board of Deirdre's House, a Child Advocacy Center in New Jersey. She also facilitated a support group for adult survivors of abuse for over 15 years. She drew from all of these experiences to develop the BEAT program, which has helped scores of people affected by both adult and childhood trauma.
