I’m just saying… if you’ve been meaning to stop at the farm stand, TODAY would be a very good day to quit meaning to.

Because we stocked it.

And the problem with a little farm stand is there is no magical warehouse in the back. When something’s gone, it’s GONE.

The best stuff always gets snatched up first, and I already know somebody is going to show up later and say, “WAIT. You had those?!”

Yes.

Yes, we did.

And someone who got here before you bought them.

So take the back roads, turn the music up, come see what we put out, grab yourself a little treat and maybe accidentally leave with three more things than you planned.

Consider this your warning.

The farm stand is stocked.

Does anyone else get a little salty when their husband announces, “I’m gonna go mow”?

Because yes, the grass needs mowed. And yes, I appreciate it.

But let’s call it what it is.

You’re about to put your headphones in, turn on a podcast, catch some sun, and spend 5 uninterrupted hours riding around while nobody asks you a single question.

Then you come back inside sweaty like, “Whew. Got the mowing done.”

Congratulations on your outdoor podcast retreat, sir.

Meanwhile, I haven’t completed a thought uninterrupted since 2007.

Anyway, apparently next Saturday I’m mowing. Don’t wait up.

Those little faces are exactly how I became a goat person. It starts with “maybe we should get a couple goats” and suddenly you’re rearranging your entire life around tiny bearded men with absolutely no respect for personal space.

RIP Dolly Parton.

Some people are famous. Some people become part of the fabric of our lives.

Dolly was one of those people.

The hair. The rhinestones. The songs. The laugh. The kindness. The way she could be unapologetically herself while somehow making everyone else feel like they could be, too.

She was strong without being hard, glamorous without taking herself too seriously, and proof that you could come from very little and still leave an enormous mark on the world.

There will never be another Dolly.

I hope heaven has a front porch, a rocking chair, and enough rhinestones to welcome her properly.

Rest easy, Dolly. You were truly an icon.
