We were honored to have our Founder and Chairwoman join RMIT as part of the Creative Short Talk Series. RMIT University Vietnam

Creative Short Talk #42 is featuring Ms. Fong-Chan. She is a Danish architect and interior designer based in Ho Chi Minh City. Inspired by the vast potential of Vietnam’s design industry, she founded KAZE Interior Design Studio in 2010 and has since guided the studio to become one of Vietnam’s leading hospitality interior design firms. Since its inception, KAZE has played a defining role in shaping Vietnam’s evolving design landscape, delivering more than 85 high-profile projects across Vietnam and Cambodia.

The studio is distinguished by its unwavering commitment to quality, approaching every project with integrity, precision, and a deep respect for design excellence. Last week, we had the pleasure of having our Executive Project Designer, Ha Nguyen Bao Kha, as a guest speaker at the 9th Hospitality Vietnam Conference, organized by Hospitality Asia.
 
The talk explored a timely topic - Sustainable & Adaptive Lighting for Smart Projects - and how lighting can move beyond function to become a responsive, intelligent layer within space. It examined the role of smart lighting in hospitality and its potential to shape more sustainable environments.
 
The event offered an opportunity to stay attuned to emerging directions in hospitality interior design, exchange ideas, and connect with a broader community of industry professionals.

Last Thursday, March 5, we were pleased to have our Managing Director, Dang Viet Khoa, deliver a speech at the Interior Design Forum 2026 | Asia Rising - Design Leading during HawaExpo 2026.

The talk discussed “Vietnam Hospitality & Interior Design: From Emerging Market to Regional Influence.” The session explored how the industry has evolved through its prime period, how it overcame the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, and how the future may be shaped by younger generations of designers - based on our own story of a 15-year journey developing as an interior design studio.

The forum was also a great opportunity to connect with association leaders, experts, and designers from across Southeast Asia to exchange insights on the market, design trends, and the future direction of the regional interior industry.
