I placed three books on the table — books that quietly influenced me even before the first words of this journey appeared in 2025:
Antoine Predock — 65 Years: Motorcycles and Architecture
Thom Mayne — M: Model More 1000 Models, 50 Years
Bjarne Mastenbroek / SEARCH — Dig It, with photographs by Iwan Baan.
I was fortunate to encounter their work, to see their buildings, and to meet and speak with some of these people during the many years I lived and worked in the United States. Their work, their immense body of thought, and the way they looked at the world stayed with me longer than I realized.
Perhaps they did not directly create the words I write today.
But they became part of the way I look, the way I feel, the way I question, and the way I eventually entered a journey of my own.
Today, after 108 books have come into being, I do not want to place them on the table as an achievement.
I simply want to place them there quietly, as an act of gratitude.
Gratitude for the teachers I was fortunate enough to encounter.
Gratitude for the buildings I once stood before.
Gratitude for the conversations that once took place.
And gratitude for all the things I received without yet having the awareness to name them.
The 108 books are not an answer to everything I have learned.
Perhaps they are simply my way of continuing that conversation — in another language, along another path, with everything life has brought to me.
So I place them here, very gently,
as a quiet thank you for the encounters that helped shape this journey.

THE FLOWERING WAY
One day, the banners of
Architect • Architecture • Writer • Publishing • Media • Awareness
will quietly rise across San Diego, Dallas, and New York.
They will not mark the beginning of a journey.
They will mark the flowering of decades of quiet preparation.
By then,
the exhibition will already be complete.
Because the real work has never been
building an exhibition.
It has always been
the cultivation of awareness.

The exhibition did not begin
when this poster was printed.
It began
the day the first seed
was quietly planted,
twenty-five years ago.
