Hiiii! It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? I’m still around. 😅 After a bit of a break, I’m making it a point to spin through this massive fiber stash I have and make a few more blends for personal projects.

The most recent spin is this gorgeous hand dyed fiber from WiggleStick Designs in her Lagoon colorway on her Merino/Angora/Alpaca blend. It’s plied with a natural Romeldale wool that I purchased from Arcadia Farm of Seymour at the Middle TN Fiber Festival in March.

7.5oz, DK to Worsted weight, and 395 yards.

So, uh, life moves pretty fast and this past month has been hectic. 😬 I’m still here! Lol Buuuuut this weekend I’ll be at the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival and I’ll be hanging out in the WiggleStick Designs booth all weekend!!

I’ll have a few blends available at the festival, but you should definitely come pet all the yummy fiber WiggleStick Designs has to offer! Her blends are heavenly and everyone deserves some bougie fiber or bougie handspun yarn. Seriously, come buy all of her fiber so I don’t bring home more than I left with! 🫣😂

Today’s handpulled small batch blend that has my hands screaming…Cormo, Llama, and silk (65/25/10). This blend will be available at the festival this weekend and listed at HooknFiber.com early next week. 🖤

We’ve been on the go quite a bit this week for Spring Break, so this new Block 9 pattern test was the perfect project to keep me hooking in the few quiet moments I’ve been able to have!

This lovely new block design is yet another Coddiwomple expansion piece, offering yet another starting block or border block! ☺️ She’s brilliant, I tell ya.

Wheel time is the best time. ☺️ Spinning some DELICIOUS roving from WiggleStick Designs today, which is appropriately named Like Buttah. This is the Romney/Alpaca/Angora/Silk blend and it’s heavenly.

Fresh off the blocking mat and prepping to mount to a hoop…my Thing 14 test is officially finished! Measuring 10” from tip to tip! I say this every time she releases a new one, but I also mean it every time I say it…this is my favorite Thing. 😂

Materials used…
Artiste Mercerized Egyptian Cotton size 10 thread in Moss colorway, approximately 160 yds used.
1.5mm hook

I just realized I haven’t posted here since right around Christmas! 😬 I’ve been busy testing a new pattern, An•tic•i•pa•tion, from WiggleStick Designs. 🥰

I’ve made many WiggleStick Designs patterns. They’ve all challenged me in some way, even if I’ve made them before. The challenge is what I love and what’s helped me fine tune my craft, deepening my love for it. Find a pattern that challenges you. A designer that motivates you. Anything. Just find that thing. You know what it is when you see it. It’s that thing that you didn’t know you were even looking for, but you knew it once it was found. Let me introduce you to that designer for me. Wheel therapy is the best therapy. Spinning up some Hippie Rainbow, just because. Once finished, I’ll chain ply and make a fun beanie for my Mama so she can keep warm in style during her evening walks. ☺️
