10 months ago we went on our first date. Yesterday he proposed on a hike in TN, by a beautiful grotto waterfall. Neither of us ever expected to find love at our age and after being single for the last 8+ years. Now I know what love is. He is everything I have ever wanted and needed while helping heal parts he didn’t break. Sometimes the words feel cliche and insufficient, but head over heels, genuine love. He has captured my heart. Btw…I said yes.
