There’s just something about an old quilt. 🤍

Maybe it’s knowing that someone sat down decades ago and chose every little piece of fabric. That some of those pieces may have been scraps from dresses, aprons, curtains, or whatever was too pretty and too useful to throw away.

Then they cut them apart, stitched them back together, and somehow made something beautiful out of all those little pieces.

And then it was used. It kept someone warm. It was washed and folded and tucked around people. It faded. It frayed. It became imperfect.

That’s the part I love most.

I don’t look at an old quilt and see the worn spots first, I see proof that it had a life before it found me. And I get to be one tiny stop in a story that started long before I was here.

I think that’s why I’ll always have a soft spot for quilts. They’re not just blankets. They’re little pieces of ordinary lives that somehow survived. 🌼🪡🤍

This beauty is available for sale. See my previous post for details 🩷

🌸 Okay quilt lovers… this one is GOOD. 🌸

This gorgeous vintage quilt is absolutely packed with charm - colorful Dresden Plate blocks paired with sweet patchwork pitcher blocks, all framed in the prettiest blue with a scrappy floral border. 💐🧺

The mix of vintage florals, strawberries, roses, soft pastels and those pops of pink + purple is SO good. And the age and wear? Exactly the kind of perfectly imperfect character I love in an old quilt. 🤍

She definitely shows her age with fabric wear, fraying and areas of deterioration throughout. Please look closely at the photos. She still displays beautifully and would be incredible draped over a bed, folded over a chair, or layered into a cottagey space.

📏 82” x 80”
🪡 Beautifully aged & well loved
