Hello, I hope you are all really well and have had a good week, wherever you are.
I very much enjoyed creating this joyful Spring 'living' wreath to add a seasonal touch to our home 💚

These wreaths are relatively easy to make and there is nothing better than creating something of your own with your chosen 'ingredients'. 🌿

This wreath will easily last past Easter as the moss base will keep all the foliage and tete a tetes moist and happy. Once the wreath is finished, the bulbs can be planted to return next year. Also, the wire base can then be re-used for another wreath later on. 🌱

Now for a cuppa by the fire (still nippy out there 🥶) before Friday fish & chips!

Hello! "Spring always follows Winter" is one of my mottos and it's on its way. We enjoyed time in the garden this week, being warm enough to eat al fresco. How lovely!
Later in the week I'll be making a 'living' Spring wreath, so watch this space. Making wreaths is such a mindful activity and there's a wreath variety for every season of the year, including Springtime. 🌼

It's my favourite time of year and I like to welcome the season by having Spring flowers around the house, watching sunrise in the garden and looking for inspiration for creativity. After chemo today I had a little stroll from the house and it was great to see blackthorn blossom, lambs playing and hear a plethora of birdsong.

A happy new year! May 2026 be full of an abundance of blessings, happiness and new adventures for all.
After the festivities of Christmas it's nice not only to make plans for the coming year, but also to reflect on the past year; the triumphs and tribulations, the memories made, friendships kindled and various milestones reached.
Recent months have been challenging with my cancer treatment and I am just so grateful, as ever, to the NHS and steadfast support from my family. When life becomes difficult, true warmth and love shines through from friends and relatives and what a difference it makes.

So ... January ... the grey, dull month after the busyness of Christmas ...

A simple way I would like to spread a bit of joy this month is to gift some flowers to someone who may just need their day brightening a little. The flowers will come in a large bouquet and there will also be a Spring arrangement in the draw.

All you have to do is nominate someone - or yourself! - to go into the draw and comment on this post saying why that person should be considered. Please don't put their name (for privacy) as a direct message later will get those details. The winners will be drawn on January 23rd. Good luck!

I wish everyone a wonderful start to the year and, in my own small way, I hope the beauty of flowers brings a smile to someone who needs it.
