Turns out being teachers during back-to-school season really cuts into your sewing time. 😂

We’ve been a little quiet around here because school has been keeping us BUSY, and we haven’t gotten nearly as much time together at our sewing machines as we’d like.

But Friendship Quilt Co. isn’t going anywhere. 🧵

We’re figuring out what creating looks like in a busier season, working on a few things when we can, and still sending each other entirely too many pictures of fabric we don’t need.

We have some fun things we want to share with you this fall.

Introducing a new little series: From the Fabric Stash 🧵

One of our favorite parts of making our quilted bows is choosing the fabrics. Sometimes we know exactly what we want, and sometimes we pull half the stash before we finally find the combination that feels right.

For this Halloween bow, we wanted prints that felt fun and a little spooky, but still worked together once everything was pieced and quilted.

Football is back in the Bluegrass! 💙🏈

UK kicks off their season tomorrow, and we couldn’t let game day arrive without showing off a little Kentucky blue. And by that, I mean I didn’t know until Lexie told me!

Bow sighting in the wild!

We love how Crystal Dailey Gardner styled her bow. 🥹🎀

There’s just something about seeing something we made hanging on someone’s door that makes us so happy. We love getting to create these together, but seeing them become part of your homes makes it even sweeter.

First week back at school is officially in the books!

We traded our sewing machines for classrooms this week, but of course we had to start the school year standing in front of our Friendship Quilt Co. bows. 😂

Teaching is what brought us together, sewing is what made us even better friends, and somehow we’ve found a way to make room for both. Here’s to a new school year, new students, and hopefully still finding a little time to sew together in between it all. 🤍

This summer has been one we’ll never forget.

Today we headed back into school to start getting our classrooms ready. It’s bittersweet. Summer has been so much fun, but we’re also excited to meet a new group of students.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, we started Friendship Quilt Co. on a whim. It definitely wasn’t the most profitable adventure (yet 😅), but it gave us something so much more valuable. We spent countless hours sewing, laughing, learning, and making memories together.

At the heart of Friendship Quilt Co. has always been fellowship. It’s never just been about the bows or the quilts. It’s about slowing down, creating something with people you care about, and choosing joy along the way.

As summer comes to an end, we’ve realized something: the good times don’t have to end with it. They’re something we choose to keep making, one project, one conversation, and one friendship at a time.

Thanks for following along on this adventure. We can’t wait to see what this next season brings. ❤️
