Thank you much for your patience while I’ve taken time away, I had thought I was ready a few weeks ago but I wasn’t. I’m so grateful to be in a position to be able to go at my pace.
I have decided it’s time to reopen though so for the next few months I’ll be offering a smaller collection of work with lower quantities available but with regular restocks. I’m hoping working this way will help me feel less overwhelmed and ease me back in.
As I now have customers all over the world I shall alter the times of these restocks but the first will be Thursday 21st at 7pm UK time.
Please don’t worry if you miss out there will be plenty of opportunities over the next few months.

A little update for you.
I had said I’d reopen this week but as it gets closer I’ve realised it’s too soon. This last year has been such a lot and the feeling in my tummy about reopen is telling me it’s too soon. I know a lot of you were waiting for it but I think one more week will do me the world of good.

Free motion is a fun skill to learn but it takes a lot of practice, I have no idea of how many 1000s of hours I’ve put in over the years! I learnt to free motion embroider at uni over 25 years ago and I started writing all the time 9/10 years ago - that’ a lot of words!

I used to do markets almost every weekend but now it’s only a few times a year so it takes a lot of mental effort to remember everything!
I was s bit anxious about going after taking time off but once I was there I was fine, it was lovely to see lots of familiar faces and to meet lots of new ones too.
It was good to make some new pieces and test the water before I pop them online, it’s always great to get feedback on them and see which ones go down the best.
I won’t be at a market now until November but it’s my favourite one of the year!

I’m back to work properly today as I took unexpected time off after my Dad passed away.
I have been working a little over the last few weeks however at first it felt very hard and overwhelming but I feel ready to be back full time now.
I want to say the most enormous thank you for you patience, understanding and kindness. My inbox was one thing that became too much so I apologise if I’ve missed a message from you. If I never got back to you please give me a nudge.
This week I will get all the remaining orders sent to you as long as I have all your information like house photos and customisation and I will reopen for orders next week.

My lovely Dad passed away this weekend after a very long time suffering from Alzheimer’s. This has been the reason I’ve been absent online for some time and why I have struggled to juggle everything like replying to messages and emails recently. It’s been a long road with him and his Alzheimer’s and while we’ve been preparing ourselves and living in a state of heightened alert for years it’s still been a shock and very sad.

For the time being I have closed all my online shops, I will reopen when I feel ready but for now they can wait. I do have a large number of orders already on my books which I am working through and I apologise if there is a delay in getting them out.

With all the craziness of the last few days I almost missed that today marks 14 years since I started my business, that feels crazy?!
14 years of hard work, late nights, tears and so much more but it feels like yesterday that I turned up to my first event in the cold as I can remember it like it was yesterday.
Lots if you have been with me since those early days and for that I am truly grateful to have been there to make you lots of things to mark those special occasions in your life.
