Travel ING On Auction Our co-op is raising funds for projects that enhance visitor experiences across Alberta. Hello Everyone! This is Sheila Willis. Why? Please participate and share.

The last post on this page was in December 2018 when we were raising money for the History Check app. It was a page where we auctioned items off for fundraising. I am changing it to the "Sheila Willis Auction" page. I am passionate about my projects! They are all aimed at promoting tourism and history in Alberta. I have almost single handely created a mobile app to promote travel and heritage acro

ss the province - written historical books, created a magazine, and am a budding influencer on social media to tell the stories of Alberta’s past and rural living. (See https://INGON.ca for more details)

While these endeavours have long term self sustainability plans, it will take effort to get them there - and time - especially when I am the doer who is single handedly financing them. As an example, the History Check app needs an upgrade to be available on android devices and the minimum cost is $3,000. This auction is to assist with those funds, and other projects I have on the go. HOW THE AUCTION WORKS:

-- I will make a post including images and details of the item including the starting bid amount. Some items, but not all, may have a Buy It Now (BIN) amount.
-- The end of the auction may be a date and time or be 24 hours after the last bid is received.
-- The Highest Bidder will be tagged on the original post, and details sent by Facebook messenger.
-- Payment can be made by Email Money Transfer, or via Buy Me a Coffee if a credit card payment is required. Transaction fees may be added to Credit Card Payments.
-- Buyer pays shipping unless other arrangements are made.
-- No product will be shipped or delivered until payment is made.
-- Once items are successfull auctioned or sold I will remove them from the page, so it remains current. Feel free to message or email me if you have any questions. Sheila

What is the 'Project Fund' supported by our auction?
This fund, which is still in its infancy, will financially assist with projects in the travel, tourism and heritage industiies. The fund is part of our co-op business plan with monies being added with each new member, Premium Advertisement, this auction, and, as per our bylaws, 5% of annual allocated surplus funds.

All in all, it is another great way our co-op is supporting our members!

Growing a fund where members can apply for funds to help with projects, or other needs to enhance traveller experiences across the province is part of the Travel-ING On Tourism Cooperative business plan .

This auction is only one component of that. We also allocate a portion of our Membership Fees ($25) and the sale of Premium Ad Packages ($250 annually) to add to this fund. PLUS, 5% of our allocated surplus at the end of the year, goes into this Project Fund.
