There are 17 participating shops to visit throughout the month, with a shop sticker and quilt block pattern waiting at each stop. Make a day of it, make a weekend of it or work your way across the list a few shops at a time.

If a block looks perfect until you press it, the iron may be doing more shaping than you realize.

Steam, pressure, and pushing the iron across bias edges can slightly stretch a block out of square.

For piecing with lots of triangles or bias edges, try lifting and setting the iron instead of sliding it. You may be surprised how much more accurately those blocks finish.
