A little over a year ago, I picked up my first little antique dresser. I wanted to repaint it white to match the rest of bedroom, and after it was all said and done, I was hooked. As a first responder by day, I love the opportunity to wind down after a long shift by working with furniture that needs a little love. There's just something about turning my brain and the world off for a minute and let
ting my hands and heart do the thinking for a while that is so exhilarating. I'm not artistic in the formal, more traditional sense of the word, so painting these beautiful pieces gives my creative side a chance to flourish and thrive. I love being outdoors, whether I'm out on the boat fishing at the lake, or lost camping out in the woods somewhere. These are places I want to protect, and following that mantra try to keep my life as eco friendly as possible. This includes my supplies. I reclaim and upcycle vintage pieces using primarily Canadian made, eco friendly paints, stains, and finishes.
Home is where the heart is, which is how I came to name my business after the street I live on. As such, I like to give homage to each piece's original home by naming them based on the street, general area, or person in which they were collected from! We also make time to do custom work!
