KNOF design is owned and inspired by Susan Knof, international interiors professional whose work has graced the covers of over seven leading global magazines. Having lived and worked in New York, Sydney and London, her background lends a sophisticated and cosmopolitan style to her designs. As Director, Susan started the company in 2012 after over 15 years in the architecture and design industry. H

er tenure includes roles at large architectural practices, such as Gensler, TPG, and SOSH Architects based in New York City. Prior to establishing KNOF design she was a lead designer with luxury London based design practice, SHH architects, where she lead a team focusing on high-end Residential interiors throughout the UK and Europe. She holds a BFA (Hons) from Miami University where she majored in Interior Design. Susan was an Associate Professor at Berkeley College in the USA and has also done volunteer construction work for 'Habitat for Humanity International' in mainland USA and Hawaii. She is a full member of the BIID and is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited professional. In 2011 Susan was invited to be on the steering committee of leading British design publication IDFX.

It’s not just an illustrative process it’s really where I am thinking about the building process, construction methods, materials and junctions. SUNDAY SKETCH ✍🏼 | When creating a space for winding down, turning to nature and restoring, it’s only natural for my process to go into analog mode. This winter escape in a fusion of raw mountain materials and delicate prairie florals. It brings together rustic woods, distressed leathers, suede accents. shearling throws and our modern plaid created in collaboration with along with embroidered and jacquard florals combining a nice balance of masculine and feminine materials and layers! And check out the cantilevered cosy book nook with views out to the mountains. 🏔️

HAPPY KNOFEMBER 🎉 | 13 years old today!!
is a teenager…and celebrating 13 years of bringing you more than a KNOF! 🎉🎁🎂
Here are 13 lessons I learned along the way
1. Always be kind and treat others how you’d like to be treated. Simple and easy. From clients to employees, vendors and suppliers, there is no hierarchy when it comes to humankind- thank you, Mom ❤️🕊️
2. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. Sometimes you need to just take a rest. Other times you may require a pivot. Know when you need to do either. Thank you, Harry ❤️🕊️
3. Be Loyal. Approach everything with an appetite of joy and with high energy. Thank you, Charlie 🐶
4. Like nature, business and companies have seasons. Try to surrender, not resist and move with the seasons. Thank you, Mother Nature 🌎
5. Work and life are like a buffet table. No one is going to serve you. You need to go up and get what you want 🍱
6. There is no finish line. Once you get there it moves. Keep going anyways and always enjoy the journey and the views!🏔️
7. People 👫Collaborate with, connect with, work with and for only those that bring out your best. You will all shine brighter together. Trust your gut on this one. You know when you get those good feelings when you meet someone. That feeling of peace and ease. Trust that!
8. It’s ok to say no.🚫I’ve turned down work, income and clients when I knew it wasn’t the right fit. These also coincided with times when I needed income most. More will come, practice patience
9. Never stop learning 📖Growth can be hard but is also an essential human need. Be like a seedling and break through, it’s beautiful and there is more growth on the other side. Keep blooming 🌸
10. Uncertainty is at the heart of it all. Don’t believe what your fears may try to cunningly convince you. Master your mindset on uncertainty and you will soar 🦅
11. Integrity is a trait that doesn’t cost a dime but will get you further than you can imagine. Accept responsibility and fault when it is yours. Deal with it, don’t run from it, resolve it
12. We all have more smilarities than differences, focus on them👓.
13. Remain humble and forever grateful. 🙏🏼
