Finally finished my Garden Bench. Many hours and gnashing of teeth. The dalle de verre glass missed its goal by a ½” so I had to redesign the back. A diamond blade is used to shape the glass and carbide chisels are used to facet the glass. The wood seat and back is Oregon redwood. The rear photo depicts the supports for the back rest and the glass top piece. The bench was placed in front of an old bird feeder post to prevent any tip back The green glass glows in the sunlight. Hello FB Friends. New creation: Dragonfly on driftwood with burl. App size: 6” wings on 12” driftwood. Four pieces of green cathedral glass embedded in the wings. Heat colors on the dragonfly. Ref # 144 at The Emporium Veneta.
