Not every piece of art speaks to us for the same reason.

Sometimes it's the colours.
Sometimes it's a memory.
Sometimes it's simply a feeling.

For me, this painting represents calm, warmth, and the quiet kind of strength that doesn't need to prove itself.

I'd love to know—what was the first thing you felt when you saw her?

If you'd like to see more photos or details, you'll find her on my website via the link in my bio.

This painting taught me a lesson I seem to forget regularly...

Not every stage of the process is supposed to look beautiful.

There was a point where I genuinely wasn't sure this one would work. The colours changed completely, layers were painted over, and I kept wondering if I'd added one flower too many.

Thankfully, I ignored that little voice and kept going.

The finished piece became one of my favourites and ended up inspiring an entire collection of wildflower paintings.

Have you ever nearly given up on something, only for it to turn out better than you expected?

The allium was finally starting to take shape.

Then I realised every one of those tiny purple flowers needed friends.

Lots and lots of friends.

Worth it though. 🌿💜

Some creatures don’t carry weight.
They release it.
There is something unmistakably joyful about that kind of presence.
Not forced. Not performed. Just alive.

Somewhere along the way, we are taught that life has to be heavy to matter.
Maybe it doesn’t.

Building depth one layer at a time.

Translation: repeatedly painting over my own work until it finally behaves.

Not everyone is still searching.

Some people know exactly who they are.

Exactly where they stand.

And there is something beautiful about that kind of certainty.

Strong without hardness.

Gentle without weakness.

🐂

Maybe belonging isn't something we find.

Maybe it's something we finally accept.

The mystery is over. 🌿
The new collection is wildflowers.
It all started with a single painting that found its way to America.

I thought that would be the end of the story.
Instead, it became the beginning of a collection.

Painting number two is underway, and just like every piece before it, there's no sketch, no roadmap and no certainty of where it will end up.
Just paint, intuition and trust in the process.

Some battles leave no scars.

Only strength.

The strength to keep showing up.

The strength to carry what cannot be put down.

The strength to stand when every instinct says run.

He knows nothing of recognition.
Nothing of applause.

Yet he stands as though he has survived a thousand winters.

Still.

Grounded.

Unshaken.

Perhaps that is why we are drawn to creatures like him.

Not because they remind us of nature.

Because they remind us of ourselves.

What do you see when you look into his eyes?
