Whoa Nellie My goal is reuse materials in a creative manner that makes them useful once again. I have a passion for creating useful items. I enjoy every minute in the shop.

I especially enjoy looking at things I find around our farm in a different way. I like working in lots of different mediums (metal, wood, glass, fabric, etc.) with an eye toward shabby chic or rustic. What my grandmother called "being thrifty" has now become repurposed, reused, or reinvented. This passion has moved me to learn more about welding, using different wood working tools, chalk paint, wax, stains and upholstery.

Thank you to everyone that stopped by the booth today in Brookings. It was so good to see everyone. You all are the one thing I missed the most after I closed the shop. Next time I will bring Reba with me.

I'm all set up and ready to sell. Stop by Dakota Bank (formerly known as Swiftel) event center east of the interstate in Brookings. I am setup 3 booths down from the door into the building. I will post of couple of pictures in the morning but have a couple to show you while they are in production.

I spent part of the afternoon loading in some smaller items into the new booth in Arlington, SD at Bits of Yesterday Antique Store. I feel like I am on a steep learning curve on how to decorate in a small space.

The store is open 10 to 5, Thursday through Saturday and is located at 115 Main St. There are many wonderful vendors in the shop and I have a hard time staying focused on the booth.

Please stop by and let me know if there are things you would like fir me to add.

Hello Friends, I miss seeing you every weekend. Reba misses you as much as i do. Everyone of you was such a blessing to us and we have an announcement that we hope will get you as excited as we are.

Bits of Yesterday, antique store, in Arlington, SD has offered us a slot to place a collection of our farm house, repurposed, eclectic home decor. Rod helped me get some of the big stuff in place, add doors and hang some lights this weekend and I will add alot of the small stuff in this Thursday afternoon. It will take a bit for me to get the hang of decorating in the booth so if you are in Arlington, when they are open, feel free to rearrange.

I will post a collection of pictures as soon as I get a larger group of things added.
