🌿 SHE’S HERE! OUR LITTLE JAR OF GOLD. 🌿

Five years of growing, learning, trimming, trying again… and finally, our bottled artichokes are ready for market!

At 18 Artichokes in Bethlehem, we believe the best things are worth waiting for.

These beauties are pure heart — no leafy bits! 💚 Each artichoke is carefully hand-trimmed by Johann himself and preserved in sunflower seed oil, ready to bring a little farm-grown goodness to your table.

Toss them into a salad, serve them on a cheeseboard, add them to pasta, or enjoy them straight from the jar. (We won’t judge if you sneak a few before supper!)

🌱 Grown on our farm in Bethlehem

Good design begins with inspiration.

We’re delighted to welcome you to the new Clarens Interiors Studio at Bally Duff, Bethlehem, where you can explore beautiful fabric collections, discover new ranges and find inspiration for your home.

Today, we’re joined by Marietjie from Hertex to share a little of what’s new and what we love about working with colour, texture and pattern.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect fabric for a pair of curtains, refreshing a favourite room or planning a complete interior, you’re welcome to visit and browse through our extensive samples in person.

Because choosing fabrics should be an experience, not just a picture on a screen.

From almost translucent Irises to deep Prussian blue magic. 💙

Fabric prepped, flowers laid, glass on, sun doing its thing… and then the slow reveal.

My first proper scatter print, finally coming to life on the washing line. And because I couldn’t resist, a little glimpse of what’s to come.

One print at a time, a new Clarens Interiors collection is beginning to emerge.

Proof of concept? Done. Watch this space. 🌿

Sometimes, the best thing you can do is get your hands busy and give your mind a little rest. 🌿

A little painting, a little planting, a flower box to take home, fresh herbs for the kitchen and a salsa verde recipe to try.

It’s not about being an artist or getting everything perfect. It’s about playing with colour, discovering what you can create, getting your hands into the soil and enjoying the moment.

And leaving a little lighter than you arrived. ❤️

Come as you are. Find your own creative freedom.

Well, this is me stepping VERY far outside my comfort zone. 🙈

Apparently, people want to see the people behind the business. So here I am! Unpacking my very first delivery of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ at the brand spanking new Clarens Interiors Studio. 😉

A whole world of colours, waxes and possibilities to explore.

Whether you have a tired old piece of furniture that deserves a second chance, something sentimental you would love to transform, or simply a creative itch that needs scratching — let’s play!

Come and join one of my Introduction to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ workshops, or WhatsApp me with something specific you’d like to learn. We can chat about your project and you can book a slot to come and paint in my Studio using my paint and waxes.

No experience necessary. Just a willingness to try something new.

And if you hear a bark in the background… that’s Ben. He’s part of the management team. 🐾
