EST - Emergency Support Team members reacted to a motor vehicle collision on Paul Kruger Street last night, where two children were among those involved.

As emergency personnel worked at the scene, the children were provided with Kids Care packs, recently donated to EST to assist young patients during traumatic incidents.

The packs contain age appropriate comfort items, including sweets, a teddy bear and colouring activities. The initiative is aimed at helping children remain calm and feel reassured while emergency personnel attend to the situation.

EST extends its appreciation to KidsCare for the generous donation and for helping responders provide additional support to children when they need it most.❤️

The patients were transported to hospital by Best Care Emergency Medical Service for further medical care.

Yesterday, Spring Day, I held my first charity knit/crochet social to support Kids Care - who runs a Build-a-Bag Project (https://kidscare.co.za/).

I am donating the yarn and starting the knitted/crocheted projects so that the ladies can come and relax, pick up a project and continue working on it, enjoy a cup of coffee and biscuits and to socialise. These projects stay in the shop and will be picked up and worked on by the next lady - so alot of love being worked into each gift.

These socials will, from next week, be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am to 12 noon. I hope you will be able to join us to donate to this very special cause ❤️

💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

There is a place in Pretoria East that takes care of children who have been removed from their families. The ages are from birth to 16 years of age.

I would like to bring a group of ladies together to knit or crochet either jerseys, beanies or blankets for these children.

What will happen:
I will donate the wool and needles and I will start the projects.

I would like to invite you over either Tuesday or Thursday from 09:00-12:00 or on a Saturday morning from 9am-12noon to join us at the shop to enjoy a chat, drink a cup of coffee and complete part of a project. At the end of the morning these projects will be left at the shop for the next week's social.

I hope you will join Jen's Wolhoekie in making these projects to donate to these children in need.

Such a beautiful blanket 💙

A handmade masterpiece deserves a moment in the spotlight! 💙

This stunning Karoo Tweed blanket, made by Jenny Niemeyer, is a beautiful example of the time, love, and patience that goes into handmade work. The pattern, texture, and colours all come together so beautifully.

Sounds about right, doesn't it? 😆

Tell us honestly... how many balls of yarn are currently waiting for their "future project"?
