There’s something particularly personal about working on an interior designer’s own home.
When you spend your days choosing materials, finishes and details for other people, your own home becomes a collection of the things you genuinely want to live with.
So to have some of our surfaces amongst Danielle Vermaak’s favourites feels rather special.
For her kitchen, we finished the extractor hood and shelves in Liquid Metal Antique Bronze, alongside walls in Stoopen & Meeûs Crustal. Materials chosen not simply for how they look now, but for the character they will develop as the home is lived in.
And then there’s the person behind the camera.
Have you ever tried to photograph metal? It is mildly uncooperative. It reflects everything, changes with every angle and rarely looks in a photograph quite the way it does standing in front of it.
Somehow, my friend Ryan Ryan Abbott manages to get remarkably close.
A beautiful home by Danielle Veltora Design Studio ,a small piece of ARTEP within it, and images that do the materials justice.
That makes this one a little more personal. 🤎
