So grateful for my adventure buddies. South Africa has so much to offer, it’s an adventure playground. This trip I’ve had on my bucket list for around six years. I mean, how is it even possible to cycle with the big 5? Well it is. Selati Game Reserve was absolutely incredible. Winding jeep tracks, koppies for sundowners, open plains & river crossings. The saddle sore was real! We bumped into elephants, rhinos, giraffe, zebras, hyenas, antelope & birds for days… Outland Travel - Trails Africa looked after us brilliantly, Jared & Matt were total legends and joined in all our silly evening games, laughed at our bad jokes & joined in with our ridiculous chat 🤣 A total success, I can’t wait for the next adventure with these girlies again! Chloe & me. Our mums were best friends at school in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. When they hit 18 they both headed to France to go and learn French. They both got married & Chloe and I were born 2 weeks apart. I lived in a suburb in the outskirts of London and Chloe’s dad was a diplomat and they lived in Belgium, London & Hong Kong and they had a Tuscan villa in a sleepy town in a village called Mercatale. We spent summers there together. Driving around Tuscany with her sister driving the De Cheveaux to local discotechs. Hong Kong was so much fun going up and down the peak and eating dim sum for days & sticky rice. Chloe would come to mine for holidays and even come to school with me if our holidays were out of sync. My mum worked for BA so flew around in the jump seat of cockpits taking off and landing with the captain & co pilot. Those were the days. Then there were the Club Med holidays where both families would come together and Chloe and I would dress up and perform on stage in the night time shows. So much fun, so many memories. Chloe has lived in China and we haven’t seen each other for years and years. Her hubby randomly is working on a business project in Cape Town. Chloe has visited twice & it’s been so special to recount stories, catch up on our lives and meet each others hubbies & children. After all these years it’s incredible how quickly we connect again and how similar our values are. Hard workers & a huge desire to cheerlead other women in our daily work & social lives. So happy our paths have crossed again after nearly 30 years ❤️❤️

Being a mum is one of the most incredible and exhausting experiences all in one. On Mother’s Day we all walked in the wind and rain on our local beach. Sat at the Sentinel and drank hot chocolate. It’s the simple things that count. I love being a mum to two incredible humans. I can’t wait to watch them grow and journey through life ❤️
