Our bedroom transformation. We’ve come so far. 🥰

Walls: Little Karoo
Green paneling: Lala Palm

Empty, minimal & a little cold…

You can’t see it in the image. But the walls are like 10m high… it made it hard to do anything. We couldn’t paint the walls, so I decided to do paneling and paint that.

I went out of my comfort zone with this funky green.

Henty built this Floating Shelf.

Some photos & plants & it came together so nicely, but we’re not done.

We bit the bullet! Ceiling is going up.

Super excited to have some insulation!

Getting there…

Deciding on a colour from Duram’s Habitat collection

Decided on Little Karoo.

Also toned down this green. Used leftover paint from our kitchen. The colour is Lala Palm.

Moving back 🤭

Finally… time to enjoy the new space.

I think I’ve found the most perfect neutral ever.🤭

We used Little Karoo by Duram for our bedroom walls. We also had another tub mixed 2 shades lighter for the ceiling - my first attempt at colour capping.

What do you think of this technique?

This is something we’ve wanted to do since moving in 4 years ago. We finally bit the bullet and it’s worth every cent we had to pay.

We added a ceiling to our double (more like triple) volume bedroom. This was not about the look, it was about practicality. There was no insulation for the temperature or for sound. We also didn’t have down lights so the room was super dark.

The bedroom actually feels like a cosy, safe space now.

Tomorrow we paint. 😍 Stay tuned.

Today I patched a few little holes in our wall.

But I didn’t paint over them. Sometimes progress doesn’t mean “finished” — it just means “better than yesterday.”

Or maybe it’s just an excuse for season 2 🤭
