Chunky love UPDATE

A small drop of our chunky, squishy goodness is live — all one-of-a-kind variegated skeins, dyed to spark that little creative itch.

This is Mer Chunky
– 100% merino
– single ply (hello softness)
– 100g / 66m
– plush, lofty, and so satisfying on the needles

These skeins are made for instant gratification projects — think:
• cosy beanies + chunky cowls
• quick-knit scarves
• textured sweaters with real depth
• bold stripes when paired with a solid
• or that one statement piece you just want to cast on immediately

Because they’re variegated, they shine when you let them do their thing… but they also pair beautifully with our dyed-to-order solids if you want contrast, structure, or colour blocking.

This drop is very much about play. About choosing colour because it makes you feel something. About knitting for the joy of it, not just the finished object.

✨ Swipe through and tell me — which one are you casting on first?
✨ And would you pair it with a solid, or let it stand alone?

Limited quantities, once they’re gone, they’re gone 🤍

IRON OXIDE 🧡
deep, earthen, dark terracotta that feels like sun-warmed clay, aged pottery, and the slow burn of autumn light.

This is one of those colours that grounds everything around it. Rich without being loud. Warm without overpowering.

WHO IT SUITS
Iron Oxide shines on warm and neutral undertones, but its depth also creates beautiful contrast on cooler skin tones — especially when paired with a softer neutral near the face.

PAIR IT WITH
• soft oat / cream for contrast (as seen in the Antique Filigree sweater → swipe)
• charcoal + smoke for something moodier
• blush / dusty rose for a muted, romantic palette
• olive + mossy greens for an earthy, tonal story
• denim blues to cool it down and balance the warmth

WHAT TO MAKE
This is a sweater colour. A forever piece.
Think colourwork (it sings as a main colour), textured knits, or a simple stockinette cardigan that lets the depth do all the talking.

BASES
Available dyed to order across multiple bases — from soft, drapey fi*****ng to more structured sport and DK. Each base will shift the tone slightly, adding to its natural, organic feel.

THE STORY
Inspired by clay vessels, oxidised earth, and the kind of warmth that lingers long after the sun has set.
This is colour as memory. As place. As feeling.

In pursuit of joy, always — in colour, in craft, in the pieces we choose to make and wear 🤎

The Wild Country Cardigan is slowly becoming itself 🤎

I’m in that in-between stage now — working the button band, laying out buttons, making small decisions that somehow feel like big ones. The finishing touches.

This piece has always been about rhythm for me — bold geometric motifs, three colours moving in conversation, a steady repetition that feels almost meditative to knit.

The inspiration?
A sunset over the low country, where the light softens — rust, smoke, fading light, earth tones layered into each other. Warm, grounded, a little wild.

✨ In pursuit of joy, one row at a time.

I’ll be opening up a test knit soon, so if this piece speaks to you, keep an eye out 👀

And I’d love to know —
what colours would you knit your Wild Country Cardigan in?
Would you stay earthy like this… or go bold, high contrast, maybe even neon?

There’s something a little bit magic about pairing a wild, variegated skein with a quiet, steady solid 🤎

The variegated brings movement, unpredictability, little flashes of colour you don’t quite control…
and the solid grounds it. Gives your eye somewhere to rest. Lets the colour story actually shine instead of compete.

If you’ve ever felt unsure about variegated yarn — this is your answer. Pair it. Let it play, but give it structure.

This is how I like to work with colour. A little chaos, a little calm. Always in balance.

✨ In pursuit of joy… not perfection.

A little about me, since I’ve got quite a few new faces here lately 🤍
I’m the hands behind all of this — dyeing, designing, dreaming it up.

I’m a mom to 3 (one girl + twin boys)
I have tattoos and a deep love for things that feel a little wild and a little soft at the same time.
I dye yarn because I’m inspired by colour and texture and the way it transforms in your hands.
I knit because it slows me down.
I design because creating feels like breathing.
And I write… because there are stories in my head and in my blood that won’t stay quiet.

Also: plant mom 🌿, coffee addict ☕, and will never say no to chocolate.

Tell me — are you drawn to variegated, solids… or that perfect mix of both?

Baked Clay 🤎

There’s something grounding about this colour.

Baked Clay sits right in that perfect terracotta middle — not too bright, not too muted — and it glows in the most understated way.

> Who it suits:
This is a beautifully versatile tone. It warms up fair skin, enriches olive tones, and absolutely sings on deeper complexions. If you love earthy palettes, this one will feel like home.

> Pair it with:
– Soft neutrals (cream, oat, sand) for something calm and wearable
– Charcoal or Smoke for contrast and depth
– Blush, dusty rose, or mauve for a gentle tones
– Deep forest green for something rich and grounded
– Or go bold with teal for that unexpected pop

> What to make:
This is your everyday sweater colour. Think cardigans, textured pullovers, or simple stockinette pieces that let the colour do the talking. It also shines in colourwork — especially paired with softer neutrals or moody darks.

🧶 Available on:
All dyed-to-order bases — from soft fi*****ng to cozy worsted, and spinning fibre too 🤍

✨ In pursuit of joy, always.

Wild Country Cardigan

There’s just something about 3 colours stranded colorwork and bold geometric shapes.

This piece has been less about rushing toward a finished garment, and more about staying inside the making of it.
Row by row. Colour by colour.

In pursuit of joy — not at the end, but here.

🧶 All colours used (and more) are available on the website
—including a growing collection of variegated skeins for those wanting something a little wilder

✨ Would you knit this in solids, or lean into variegated for the motifs?

PERSIMMON
Today’s colour in the pursuit of joy 🍂

The exact shade of a perfectly ripe persimmon catching the late-summer sun. Juicy, warm, and quietly radiant, it’s the colour that makes you smile before you’ve even cast on. 🍊✨🍂

Perfect for warm skin tones — golden, peach, honey, and olive undertones especially — it gives that soft, sun-kissed glow that feels like you’re wrapped in golden hour light. (Cooler complexions can pair it with cream or soft grey for balance.)

Complementary colours to play with:
• Soft teal & aqua (fresh, modern pop)
• Warm cream & oat neutrals (cozy elegance)
• Muted sage green or olive (autumn harmony)
• Deep slate blue or warm chocolate (rich contrast)

What to make:
• A drapey tee or camisole (this colour wants to move)
• Texture-heavy knits (ribbing, cables, linen blends)
• Colourwork paired with neutrals or moody tones
• Or a full sweater if you’re craving warmth you can wear

Currently available on all our bases — fi*****ng/sock, sport, DK, and worsted — so whether you want socks, sweaters, or shawls, there’s a perfect match waiting for you.

✨Working on something wild ✨

The Wild Country Cardigan — three colours, fi*****ng weight, worked in a modified raglan with a steek (because apparently I like a little bravery with my joy).

There’s a particular kind of joy in this stage.
The yoke is finished.
The Sleeves are separated and the floats are behaving.
The geometry of the colorwork is settling into itself.

I’m using earthy brown (Rue), clay red (Blood Moon) and charcoal blue-grey (After Midnight) on MerLino Twist.

And yet… I’m already dreaming of this in unapologetic neon. Acid pink. Electric chartreuse. Highlighter orange. Because joy doesn’t only live in muted earth — sometimes it demands to glow.

If you were knitting this — would you stay earthy… or go full neon?
