Alive with carved details, the TRIBE Collection filters references to totemic sculpture, cubist form and cultural adornment through the weight and grain of solid timber. Its balance of geometric structure and organic expression gives TRIBE exceptional versatility within bold, layered contemporary interiors

STYLE STORYTELLING

To celebrate our Steenberg cover, we welcomed friends old and new into the OKHA showroom for an evening dedicated to design, conversation and connection.

The showroom was transformed by Anette de Jager, Herringbone Rugs and Reservoir Projects, creating the setting for a lively conversation about building character in an interior. We shared Moët & Chandon, exchanged ideas and spent time with the design community we value so deeply.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Condé Nast House & Garden for partnering with us on such a memorable evening.

Ever wondered what the iconic OKHA REPOSER armchair in garnet might look like in a warmer, more neutral palette? We did the imagining for you.

This speculative AI colour study explores how a change in upholstery can shift the character of REPOSER’s sculptural, asymmetrical form.

Curving volumes and subtle angles create a silhouette that changes with every viewpoint, giving the armchair a distinctive presence from all perspectives. Feminine and futuristic in feel, REPOSER draws on the sophisticated lounge culture of retro modern design, while its versatility allows for expressive, contemporary seating arrangements.

CHARACTER THROUGH CURATION

What makes a memorable interior?.

At Steenberg House, OKHA brought architecture, furniture, art, colour and material into carefully judged conversation. Contemporary design sits alongside objects with history. Bold gestures are balanced by moments of restraint. Every room has its own atmosphere while belonging unmistakably to the whole.

This is how OKHA creates homes with depth, personality and lasting character.

African Jacquard textiles introduce a refined interplay of colour, pattern and character to OKHA’s Steenberg House in Cape Town.

Locally woven throws and cushions from the Bogolan Collection were layered throughout the living areas and bedrooms of the home. Their rich textures and considered craftsmanship added warmth, depth and a chic collected sensibility that animates the interior with wonderful patina.

What a privilege to celebrate this calibre of textile design excellence and craftsmanship, made here in on our Cape doorstep"

TORO -One design language. Two structural expressions.
The TORO and TORO A Frame dining chair.

Both share the same sculpted timber construction and upholstered seat and backrest. The difference lies in the arm structure. TORO follows a more linear framework, while TORO A Frame, introduces angled supports that give the chair a more dynamic stance.

BARNETT DINING CHAIR
Featured in California Homes, the Barnett dining chair by OKHA takes its place within an interior by Erin Martin Design. Its open timber framework allows the upholstered seat to appear effortlessly suspended, creating visual space around the table rather than competing with its leg forms.

Seen in detail, Barnett’s elegance lies in the precision of its lines: the softly curved shell, linear supports and continuous curved hold a finely judged balance of structure and lightness
