Site visits are often about understanding the atmosphere as much as the space’s dimensions.

Natural light shifts throughout the day, certain areas feel more settled than others, and small details reveal how the space is lived in. Observing these conditions early on helps guide decisions around layout, material selection, and overall direction. It allows the design to respond to what already exists, rather than working against it.

Many of the most important ideas develop during this stage, and taking the time to understand a space properly creates a stronger foundation for everything that follows.
