Everything social, in one room, on purpose.

Rather than scatter the amenities across the floor, they are concentrated: a rounded terrazzo island under a rhythm of linear pendants, a deep teal stack-bond splashback with one red machine allowed to shout, a continuous banquette down the window wall, a sweeping green sofa, and a ping-pong table in the middle of it all.

Herringbone oak runs through the whole space and gives way to terrazzo along a single long curve - no partition, no level change, just a material line telling you where lounging ends and the bar begins.

One room. Crafted for multiple speeds.

Camps Bay. Clifton. Muizenberg. Noordhoek. Llandudno. Blouberg.

Every meeting room on this floor takes a Cape Town coastal name - a wayfinding system that doubles as a piece of the brand, and gives a technology company a sense of exactly where it is.

The rooms sit in the core so the perimeter stays free for people, which means they're glazed generously and lined in oak battens to keep them warm. The circuit-board manifestation on the glass gives privacy and signature in one detail.

Which one would you take your next meeting in?

A recent rebrand for this leading ICT company needed carrying into physical space

A circuit-board graphic runs wall to wall behind the tech bar, crossing from white onto iOCO blue, and the same language reappears as manifestation on every meeting room glazing, the privacy detail you have to include anyway, made to carry the story.

Add the Courage neon at reception and the planted walls carrying the mark in the canteen, and the brand is everywhere without a single overpriced feature.

A defining feature on this project is the one above your head.

Junxion Park runs on a passive cooling system that a conventional lay-in ceiling would have compromised, adding air-conditioning load and cost. So we left the concrete soffit and services exposed, and designed a network of suspended acoustic panels beneath them instead.

They do double duty: managing sound across an energetic technology floor, and shaping the overhead experience. Rectangular rafts over the desks, oval felt discs over the canteen.

Work with the building rather than against it, and the engineering becomes the aesthetic.

Junxion Park is an organically shaped building wrapped in glass, so we let that lead the plan: open-plan desking pushed out to the façade, where the daylight and the mountain views are - and meeting rooms, storerooms and server rooms drawn into the core.

It's a simple inversion of the old hierarchy of space, and a pointed one. The premium real estate belongs to the people who use the floor every day.

960mΒ². One floor. Agile, open-plan working.

An arrival area that speaks volumes for this company, their brand and their incredible culture.

iOCO asked for transparency and a genuine breakdown of hierarchy for their new workspace. So the arrival sequence proves it rather than claiming it: a fluted oak desk under a floating navy raft, the first meeting room fully glazed so you see the business working, and the company's own core value... "Courage", in neon above the coffee counter.

Warm joinery against exposed concrete and ductwork gives off a welcoming, innovative and approachable feel.

Please join us in congratulating three of our own - , and have each been promoted to Associate.

This is recognition not just of their talent, but of the leadership, care and craft they bring to every project and every stakeholder around them.

Du Preez and James stem from our Johannesburg studio, and Aaron from the Cape Town studio. Different cities, same standard: design that thinks, and people who make it happen.

Congratulations to all three. This one is well earned.

The trick to an open plan floor layout is knowing where one zone ends and the next begins.

At this workspace for a leading ICT services provider in Cape Town, a timber-clad column doubles as a planter here, marking the soft threshold between heads-down desks and a lounge of tan leather and grey oak-framed chairs, division without a single wall.

A successful workplace should always leave room for more than focused work.

In this project for a leading insurance company, the pause area was designed as a central space for employees to step away, recharge and connect. The mix of seating settings allows for flexibility, whether for an informal discussion, a quick lunch, or a moment of downtime. Strong material contrasts, natural timber accents and bold colour details help give the space energy and character.

The result is a space that feels social, contemporary and intentionally integrated into the wider workplace experience.
