An enchanted garden theme, a stunning venue, and the help of dear friends brought this magical night to life for a very special matric dance.

As a florist, I knew my daughter's expectations were high, but with a blank canvas and zero creative limits, I was able to deliver a truly unforgettable evening.

As florists, we're blessed to collaborate with others, and I'm grateful for the inspiration that rubs off on me. Thank you to my creative friends & for sharing your creative space and knowledge with me.

Stocks, have a very unique clove like scent and with their tall, spire-like stems and clusters of ruffled blooms, stock flowers bring a soft, English country garden charm to any arrangement

They are also edible, with flowers, leaves, and seedpods suitable for culinary use

The flowering season typically spans early spring through early summer

In Victorian flower language, stock flowers symbolize contentment and lasting bonds

These imported blooms are supplied by .igheid and come in some great colours, pale yellow, white, lilac, peach, mauve/purple.

The courtyard at Jonkershuis Constantia is such a lovely, relaxed and intimate space that is perfect for cosy get togethers.
Small ikebana inspired arrangements were combined with small vases of single stem seasonal flowers in white and soft pink, and lots of candlelight

I will admit that I'm a sucker for beautiful photography, after every wedding, I sit and wait eagerly for the images that my brides share with me.

Some-times the images aren't what I expected, there is often disappointment, the bouquet wasn't captured the ceremony area ignored the reception tables overlooked.

However, todays wedding the planets have aligned and I am reliving every moment of this special wedding

Sharing today the lovely wedding of Adi & Phil, who were married in the gardens at the Groot Constantia wine estate with their reception at Jonkershuis restaurant.

Here in this image is the very lovely
Erica perspicua, commonly called Prince of Wales heath, native shrub to the Western Cape, South Africa. The plumes show resemblance to the Prince of Wales coat of arms.
The flowers vary in colour from white through pink and white, red and white, dark red or purple and white to uniform red. It flowers from February to June.
