"The Devonport Lighting Company" was established in 1993 by Greg Segal and is now currently trading as Proffesional Illumination Design" which was established in 2005. We offer consultation, design, manufacture, supply and project management for all your lighting requirements in the residential, landscape, commercial and retail sectors.

Light Fissure -Private Residence

Another designed, manufactured and installed contemporary light installation by PiDesign
The Illuminated recessed light slot flows from the first floor main entrance corridor ceiling, into the stairwell, down the stairwell wall, linking to the ceiling and walls on the ground floor level.

Custom Designed Pendant – Private Residence

Brief: To achieve a harmonious and complementary contempory luminaire to complement the surrounding stairwell design which would not date.

The attached images are of 16 x dropped pendants suspended in a stairwell over three stories manufactured from aluminum, powder coated black, complete with opal glass.
Protective wrapping is still visible in the surrounding stairwell and luminaires till the project is completed.
Further images will be uploaded in the future.

Hey Freinds, just added some images of our latest project. Here we used LED profile lighting to enhance the space as well as use this for direct and indirect lighting effects. All of the lighting circuits are switched on by using a presence detection. The auditorium is controlled through a dali system allowing the speaker to dim the lights while discussing or showcasing their projects on the display screen.

Hey friends just added a few images of our latest project completed at a private residence in Brandwacht aan Rivier. Enjoy, gather inspiration. This turned out to be a wonderful home with great warmth. “Light should not interpret architecture; it must transform it!
