Handy Mac's TIP OF THE WEEK in the Weekend Argus comes courtesy of Graham at Arora Northgate:
"As part of our renovations we have been looking at new light fittings, but we have a problem as we have low modern ceilings – about 2.45 m in height. This means central chandeliers are not that practical, but we had been missing the obvious until we bumped into Graham Phillips, a project consultant at Arora lights. He was showing us some really stunning lights – it is amazing what is on the market nowadays – but we said they were not going to work because of the ceiling heights. He looked at me like I was not a full box of chocolates and asked: “Why does the light fitting have to be in the centre of the room?” We had missed the obvious: hang your light fitting in an area where no one walks. They actually design lights for these situations."
