A little taste of Mozambique, right in the heart of Bloemfontein.

Designed by INTERIO | DESIGN & DECOR, the new Mozambik Restaurant Bloemfontein brings the brand’s Afro Porto roots into a space filled with colour, pattern and warmth. Mozambik has always been about more than the food, with each restaurant designed to feel like a little escape while still having its own local personality.

We loved being part of bringing this one to life, creating a collection of Awali Tildi and Mara lights to sit amongst the layered patterns, textures and colours throughout the restaurant. Each piece was made by hand in our Cape Town workshop before making its way to Bloemfontein.

It is always great to work on a local project and see our pieces become part of a space designed around gathering, good food and a bit of that Mozambik holiday feeling.

Congratulations to INTERIO | DESIGN & DECOR and the whole team involved. What a great new home for Mozambik in Bloemfontein.

A project close to home, and one we loved being part of.

Designed by Kristen Page🇿🇦 for Nando's South Africa Fourways Mall, these custom double layered wall lights were woven in polypropylene rope, creating a striking feature that welcomes you into the space. We always enjoy working on projects that challenge us to think beyond our standard range, and these certainly make a statement.

The colours were carefully chosen to complement the interior, tying in with the Dlala (Play) bench seating pattern and the Indlu (House) ceiling pattern by Spamandla.Mdunyelwa. It is these thoughtful details that bring the whole space together.

A big thank you to One to One by Martin Döller. for the installation and Spier Arts Trust for the beautiful artworks. Congratulations to everyone involved on such a stunning project. We are proud to have been part of it.

There is something so satisfying about working within a single colour palette and finding different ways to bring it to life.

Designed by Fusion Design & Architecture Nando’s Basildon in the UK features a collection of our lighting, all created in shades of light blue, mustard and white. While every shade has its own shape and weaving style, together they speak the same colour language.

For this project, we created a collection of our Puka, Awali Halfu Tildi, Dunia and Nafasi lampshades, with a spot of our Wimbi basket lights.

Designed in collaboration with Fusion Design & Architecture, crafted in Cape Town, and now lighting up another beautiful Nando’s in the UK.

When we say custom made, we really mean it.

These oversized Kuku Cov 1 lampshades recently left our Cape Town workshop, woven in a bold palette of blues, reds, whites and pops of yellow. Watching a design grow from its standard size into something this impactful is always exciting.

One of the questions we get asked most is whether our lights can be made bigger or smaller. The answer is yes. Because every piece is woven by hand and made to order in our Paarden Eiland factory, almost any design in our standard range can be scaled to suit your project.

Bright, light and full of colour. Just how we like it.

Designed by Fusion Design & Architecture, Nando’s Enfield Retail Park, London is filled with warmth, pattern and handcrafted details that bring the whole space together.

For this project, we created six Puka lampshades alongside three of our classic Etosha Sika lampshades, all woven in our signature multicolour palette. It is always exciting to see these pieces leave our Cape Town workshop and find their place in projects on the other side of the world.

One of the things we love most about both the Puka and Etosha Sika is that they are freight-friendly and stackable, making them a practical choice for international projects without compromising on impact.

Situated on the banks of Mashuma Pan, in the wild heart of Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park, is the beautiful Molori Mashuma luxury tented camp.

Designed by HK Studio, every detail of Molori Mashuma was custom designed with its surroundings in mind, resulting in spaces that feel completely at home in one of Zimbabwe’s most remarkable untouched landscapes.

Our Wawa lampshades were created in a colour palette chosen to complement the upholstery throughout the space, with greens, limes and off whites woven together by hand.

A true Wawa moment, hanging above the baths with uninterrupted views of the bush and the pools from each private suite and deck.

This was one of our first Wawa lampshade projects after launching the design at Decorex Africa in 2022, and we love that it found its way into this family-owned and operated safari retreat.

From our workshop in Cape Town to its new home in Ballito.

Designed by Graphic Gurus, with architecture by illani du plessis and built by Jehcon Construction Group Pty Ltd for a home at Fairview Estates 🍃, this custom Mara was woven in a palette of olive greens and soft stone tones to complement the space perfectly.

It is always special watching a project come together, from the first strands being woven in our workshop to seeing the finished piece hanging above its dining table, exactly where it was imagined to be.

We have loved having the Mara as part of our permanent collection. Every order is an opportunity to explore a new colour palette, making each one completely unique to its project.
