A new take on our Wezi lampshade for Nando’s Mahon Point in Ireland.

Originally launched as part of our standard range in 2025, we love seeing how designers continue to reinterpret this shape for different spaces and applications. For this project by , the Wezi was adapted into a wall light and woven in solid black.

A very different direction from our usual bright, multi-coloured pieces, but proof of how versatile handmade design can be. We especially love how they have been mounted against different coloured walls throughout the space. Such a clever installation.

Every piece was made by hand here in Cape Town by our welding and weaving teams before making its way all the way to Ireland.

We always get excited when a brief comes through that is not a lampshade, but rather pieces that become part of the space itself.

For Nando’s Bedford in the UK, designed by , we worked on these giant woven wall discs, each one created in a different weaving pattern and installed throughout the restaurant.

This project gave us the chance to really explore and experiment with our weaving techniques in a new way, and we absolutely loved bringing these concepts to life.

And this colour palette… the deep burgundy against the orange accents works so beautifully together and complements the woven textures perfectly.

We still cannot believe how stunning these pieces look in their new home.

A brand new Mara ready to go! Since launching this lampshade at .capetown, we have been so excited about all the orders that have come through.

This one for in a palette of soft neutrals with accents of greens, maroon and blues is just so beautiful. We love how our clients take our designs and make them their own simply by playing with colour.

So much fun working on this one. We can’t wait to see it in its final home.

A look back at some of our favourite Mkuni moments.

Originally designed by for Nando’s Southend on Sea, this range has since taken on a life of its own. From where they started in our workshop, to where they’ve ended up around the world, in restaurants, cellars and lodges.

From Tawana Lodge in .gamereserve, to , the Migration Camp in the Serengeti, and back to where it all began in the .

Our Mkuni range has become a firm favourite, and it is easy to see why. There is so much room to play with colour, a wide range of sizes to work with, and they are freight-friendly for projects further afield.

We love this journey!
