We've joined forces with to give the humble light switch a little more personality!

Our new range of wall switch cover plates combines handcrafted ceramics, precision-cut metal and 3D printing, bringing different materials and ways of making together in one small detail.

Designed to fit neatly over existing switches without removing or replacing them, they're a little makeover for your walls, even if you're renting.

The collection will launch as part of an exhibition and open studio at Clementina Ceramics, where you can get a closer look at the designs and the making behind them.

Ever looked at a lamp and thought, “I could make that”? Or simply wondered what goes into making one?

As part of , we're hosting a workshop for emerging designers, makers, doodlers, tinkerers and anyone curious about luminaire design.

We'll kick things off with Anatomy of a Light, unpacking the bits and pieces that make up a working light, along with some of the technical know-how and lingo.

Then it's your turn. If you've got a concept, rough sketch or half-formed idea, bring it along! We'll divide into smaller groups based on different lighting categories, with the Hoi P’loy team offering practical guidance, constructive feedback and the occasional gentle reality check.

Whether you're working on a design of your own or just keen to learn how it all comes together, there's something for you.

As part of , we’ll be hosting a workshop where we'll unpack the anatomy of a light and show you what goes into putting one together.

From ceiling pendants and wall lights to table and floor lamps, we’ll walk you through the components, switch options and the little details that make it yours. You’ll also have the chance to sit down with our consult team, talk through your ideas and figure out what you need to bring them to life.
