I popped into House S today for a few changes to be made before baby girl arrives. 🤍

This home hugs you tight as you enter, it is such a happy family home that, since the pics, has been layered with love in the year and a bit that has passed by. A little boy was added to the crew of 4 and now a little girl is arriving soon. So we will be adding some pink and possibly some buttery yellow and bows and all the fun stuff 🎀

We have almost come to the end of our renovation journey on our beautiful mid-century modern home 🏡

What a wild, wonderful whirlwind it’s been! Seeing this vision come to life has been nothing short of magical.

We’re feeling incredibly grateful to the epic team who helped bring this dream alive. Every detail tells a story, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Our brief was simple — create a home home 🤍

A place where our boys’ friends (and ours) feel welcome to ring the doorbell and wander in at any time - for a drink, a swim, a play, or just a squeeze.

We wanted a happy space, layered in colour and texture, while holding onto the beautiful charm we felt the very first time we walked through the door.

A home that makes you smile the moment you step inside. Walls that hug you tight.

Because honestly…why the heck not? Life’s too short for the spaces around you not to make you feel something 🤍

We are so stoked with the outcome and even more excited for the memories that are about to overflow from this home 🤍

Of course… it doesn’t quite end here, the garden is our next feat but we have leading the way here bringing my husbands green finger dreams to life 🍃

My favourite place in the work world will always be on site 🤍 Watching spaces you’ve dreamed of, imagined, obsessed over and refined down to the tiniest detail finally come to life is the best feeling.

It’s always been so important to me that our sites are happy spaces. I’ve felt it in so many of our clients’ homes over the years — the music playing, the chats, the laughter, the all-round good gees — but getting to experience that same energy on my own home project has been so incredibly special.

This crew have worked so hard (and then some!) to get us through the doors by the end of next week. Forever grateful, and so proud that I get to work alongside the very best every day 🤍

Last year was a wild, wonderful whirlwind 🤍

Our little family grew by one, time felt permanently short, and life moved fast.

We wrapped up some truly beautiful family homes — projects I’m incredibly proud of — and I’m very ready to get properly stuck in this year! My communication definitely fell off in the chaos, and if you reached out and got radio silence, I’m genuinely sorry. Please do get back in touch!

We’re kicking off the year with a very special personal project — our own family home! We bought a property last year (conveniently in the same road as we live now) and renovating it into a space filled with big memories feels like such a dream!

Since starting Lacuna, I’ve had the privilege of creating homes for the most wonderful families, and this year is shaping up to be an epic one: an old farmhouse in the burbs for a best pal, a Newlands family-of-five refresh, and a Kenilworth home under the oaks.

Here’s to a gentle, happy 2026 — and to taking you along for the ride 🤍
