Made By Hand Picture Framers All our frames are made by hand using 27 tried and trusted processes to create seamless corners and We use every piece of wood and only charge accordingly.

Made By Hand uses wood that is farmed in Africa, South America or Malaysia. It is a rigid softwood that is treated for borer beetle in the country of origin and once again upon arrival in Cape Town and every six months thereafter in the machining factory. Our woodpulp for the designs was originally imported from Italy, but today is supplied by a proudly South African company. Most of our paints an

d stains are water-based and lead-free and we are always looking for ways to convert all solvents to water-based products. All our frames are reliant on human hands. Our staff are South African and predominantly female. Because of weather conditions and using our hands, we guarantee a unique frame almost every time. We love a challenge and anything unusual. Every day we strive to to be innovative and aim to increase our capabilities in making unique frames by hand.
