ONE DAY TO GO!

The final touches are done, the cutlery is packed, and tomorrow we get to do one of our favourite things: meet the people who love what we create.

There’s something wonderful about watching someone pick up a piece, turn it over, admire the intricate telephone wirework and find a colour they simply can’t leave behind.

Just 4 days until KAMERS MAKERS! 🌈

The cutlery is being packed, the colours are coming together, and we’re almost ready for six wonderful days in the W**elands!

There’s something quite different about seeing our pieces in person. The colours, the intricate telephone wirework, and all those little details that photographs never quite capture.

Two weeks to go.

At the end of October, Paula.G Homeware is heading to the W**elands for a few colourful days at Allée Bleue W**e Estate.

Paula.G Homeware did not begin with a grand business plan.

It began during lockdown, when the work of Jabulani Jewellery came to a halt and Paula Goosen had to find another way forward, not only for herself and her family, but for the team of artisans who had worked alongside her.

So she looked at what they already knew how to do beautifully: work with their hands, colour, detail and African craft.

Then she placed it somewhere unexpected.

On the dining table.

Today, Paula.G Homeware brings together silver-plated cutlery and the intricate skill of telephone-wire adornment, creating pieces that feel distinctly African while sitting comfortably in the most elegant of settings.

Along the way, artisans have been trained, skills have been developed and meaningful work has been created. But Paula has always been clear about one thing:

“I don’t want people to buy our products for the beautiful story that it is, but rather for the beautiful product we produce.”

And perhaps that is what makes the story worth telling.

Because the story is not the product.

The beautiful, carefully adorned piece in your hand is.
